WEATHER:I spoke to the headmaster of Ysgol Rhostryfan, Trystan Larsen. Village not being evacuated but a handful of homes around the crossroads flooded out. The road is entirely under water and fire service about to divert the flood water to allow motorists to leave the village.

WEATHER: The Sea King spotted over A55 earlier was probably attending that incident. as well.
WEATHER: A surreal moment for the stranded motorists on A55 westbound. Two sheep spotted wandering along the westbound carriageway by Elgan Hearn. At least there is some movement.
WEATHER: Traffic cleared A55 eastbound but still closed.
WEATHER: A55 stranded motorist Rhian Hughes has spoken to fireman on the scene. A culvert is blocked. They are waiting for a tractor to dig it out and hopefully, fingers crossed they may, maybe, at last, get a bit of movement.
WEATHER: A40 Powys - A40 closed in both directions between Brecon and Talybont-on-Usk in Bwlch, because of flooding.

Hi Claire, yes it is I'm afraid.
WEATHER: RNLI has sent two boats to Bangor as a precaution to assist the fire servce with any rescues. Earlier on or near A55 at Llanfairfechan the helped rescue two people trapped in their car by the rising flood water. They were then airlifted to safety by RAF 22 Squadron helicopter.

Hi Sam, wouldn't like to give an answer for sure, will be a lot of traffic on the A5. A55 still closed in both directions
JUST IN “North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are working to their full capacity. They have received well in excess of 250 calls and have 22 appliances out throughout the region responding to emergency calls. On their behalf, and in order they may prioritise calls I would ask the community to only call the Fire Service if you believe lives are at risk and not just to properties being flooded when the householders are able to move upstairs or seek shelter in neighbours.”

FLOODS: A55 still shut at Talybont to Bangor both lanes but impact being felt all the way back to Colwyn Bay on westbound lane traffic at a standstill and some breakdowns. Appears to be flowing relatively well eastbound.
