FIRE: WOMAN aged 20 and boy of four and a two year old girl have died and two people have been arrested after a house fire in Prestatyn.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in a property in Maes y Groes at 10pm last night.
Two fire crews from Rhyl and a crew from Prestatyn wearing breathing apparatus entered the property using hose reel water jets to extinguish the fire and search for any casualties
On entering the property the crews recovered five people who were transferred to hospital by paramedics.
A North Wales fire and rescue service spokeswoman said: "A 20 year female and two children, a boy aged four and a girl aged two, were pronounced dead. A 23 year old male and a 15 month old baby boy have since been transferred to specialist hospitals for treatment."
A joint investigation is now being carried out into the cause of the fire by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
North Wales Police have arrested two people in connection with the incident.

The Welsh Ambulance Service was called to a fire at a flat on Maes Y Groes, Prestatyn. The five casualties were initially taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital.
A spokesman said: "Sadly, two children and a woman died. A man was transferred to Whiston Hospital and a third child has been transferred to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, both with serious injuries."

LONDON FIRE INQUESTS:An inquest will be held today into a house fire that claimed the lives of five children and their mother.

ACCIDENT: A 16-YEAR-old boy fell off a bridge onto rocks at a disused railway track yesterday afternoon.
An RAF Valley helicopter was scrambled at 3.30pm to take him from the scene in Maenofferen, Blaenau Ffestiniog to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with multiple injuries.
His condition is unknown.
